Two Curious Minds.
A Whole Lot of Questions.
Meet Sami and Billy. Married, raising eight kids, juggling a few businesses, and increasingly convinced that the world is far more interesting (and complicated) than we ever imagined.
We come from different backgrounds, but we have a lot in common. We love a good conversation, an unexpected discovery, and the kind of question that sends you down a rabbit hole at 10 p.m.
Sometimes we disagree. Sometimes we're completely on the same page. And sometimes we both realize we had absolutely no idea what we were talking about.
That's where the fun begins.

How we approach the world.
Curious, Not Certain.
We do the homework.
We research, explore, and bring what we've learned to the table
We welcome different perspectives.
Agreement isn't required, and disagreement isn't a competition.
We question ideas. Not peoples worth.
You can challenge a belief without belittling the person who holds it.
We're willing to change our minds.
Finding out we were wrong is part of what makes learning worthwhile.
Meet Sami & Billy

Meet Sami
I spent a lot of my life believing I had things figured out.
Growing up deeply religious, I was taught that many of life's biggest questions already had answers. Eventually, I started questioning those answers, and what began as a personal journey turned into a fascination with how all of us develop our beliefs.
Now I can't seem to stop asking questions.
I'm especially drawn to religion, psychology, parenting, culture, and human behavior. I love discovering the invisible assumptions we carry around without even realizing it.
I've learned that changing your mind can be uncomfortable, exciting, and sometimes hilarious.
And that being curious is a whole lot more interesting than being certain.

Meet Billy
Billy has always had a curiosity about how the world works.
History, politics, geography, government, and the stories behind why things are the way they are — he's interested in all of it.
He's the guy who can stumble across an interesting fact and suddenly we're both researching something neither of us knew existed an hour earlier.
He brings his own experiences, interests, and perspective to the table, and together we have a lot of fun following questions wherever they lead.
He doesn't claim to have all the answers either.
But he's usually pretty interested in finding out.
Turns Out, We Don't Know Everything.
Between raising eight kids, running businesses, and navigating the beautiful chaos of everyday life, we've developed a shared hobby: questioning things.
Religion, history, politics, psychology, culture, human behavior — there's no shortage of things we want to understand better.
Some conversations start with a disagreement. Others start with one of us saying, "Did you know...?" And plenty begin with a question neither of us knows how to answer. So we do some homework, compare what we've learned, and see where the conversation takes us.
That's how The Uneducated Couple was born.
Not because we think we're qualified to teach everyone else.
But because we believe there's something pretty wonderful about being curious together.
You don't have to agree with us.
Just bring your curiousity.
Whether you're reconsidering something you've always believed or just love discovering something new, there's a place for you at our table.
